so glad ive got it |
I like this phone alot! Here are the positives:-its an absolutely gorgeous phone, aesthetically the best around - Looks so much better than either nokia 7610/8310. Not something you expect to associate with Panasonic, but this phone screams swoosh! Me thinks gone are the days of Panasonic making bricks. -an incredibly light phone, weighing some 82g (including bat), youll find few phones lighter. -it has a powerful back light, and you can choose how long it light lights up. Further, its personal options seem so endless, theres numerous choices on selecting what you want, be it a particular colour theme or idle screen etc. -stores many many many more text messages than the Samsung t100, my friend was most annoyed about that. Indeed i have about 100 on my phone. Haha, he has 10 and his phone was twice as much in price! -very user friendly, most actions simply require commonsense - havent even looked at the manual yet :) -it has many features the old phones dont have, for example it has a calender, schedule, 5 alarms, currency converter, etc -polyphonic ringtones and a composer allowing you to also download them. -it obviously has wap and gprs Negatives about the phone: Not massively keen on the back optional cover, havent downloaded anything for it, will endeavour too. Battery tends to go down quickly, although this is offset by phone charging speedily in 20 minutes! The flip down which allows for adapter makes speaking on the phone awkward when charging, so hands free is best then. When you have many text messages, the phone seems considerably slower, like it may freeze for a couple seconds. Polyphonic ringtones could be better, theres 6 i like. The quality of ring tone sound isnt the best when loud, and it has a tendency to shake. All in all, this is a phone ill have for a long time, its just what i need. Its compact, reliable, looks great, stores so many messages, has excellent sound quality, and at ...[the price]..., is a real bargain. Rock on Panasonic

Very Nice Little Phone |
|
My wife just upgraded to one of these from a Nokia very nice phone easy to use graphical menus with lovely tactile joystick navigation. Ergonomics are excellent and the image-in rear cover is a nice touch, but pick your covers carefully or it will look a little naff. Polyphonic ring tones are not as good as they could, be but the ability to record your own ringtone allows you to use what you like (I now have the opening bars to LZs Kashmir, sounds excellent) I was so impressed I ordered one as well, only to find that my old style sim card would not work and had to order a new Data enabled Sim card, arrived next day but theres nothing worse than looking at a new gadget you cant play with! Check and get your Sim replaced (for free)before you buy. Build quality is not as good as my old Eriksson T28 or the Nokia 3310 but it is on a par with most other phones these days. The colour screen is as good as it looks on the Ads it is a definite plus. The only problem we had is with the vibration alert, it doesnt tell you in the book how to turn this feature on, if you are reading this and pulling your hair out read on! If you press and hold the # button this sets the phone into quiet mode, you can adjust the volume of the ringer and the vibration frequency through the vibration alert menu (It arrives with the quiet mode volume turned off), easy when you know how! All in all an excellent phone, just loses a point for build quality and the poor ring tones, though you can download others and over 30 rear printable covers from the panasonic website. Buy one you wont be sorry.

LET ME GET THINGS STRAIGHT... |
I was incredibly sceptical at buying this phone, and changing from my reliable 3310. I had read many reviews on this site and others claiming these faults:1) Weak phone, unsturdy 2) No ability to use vibrate, and ring at the same time 3) Not possible to download backgrounds from anywhere 4) Problems with wap (usually on O2) 5) Rubbish games 6) You dont know how many text messages youve written I will address each of these now: 1) The phone is not that sturdy. It does have a tendency to creak when you detatch the bottom "guard" to reveal the charging port. This guard is a bit that flips down to enable charging, and is quite vulnerable when opened (has an ability to snap off). BUT this is only when charging, and when in general use the fone does seem perfectly sturdy, indeed i have dropped it and it has had no effect! 2) You can in fact use both vibrate and ring at the same time, by going to personalise, then quite mode, and turning the ring volume up to full. (by the way, the ring is as loud as a 3310, but is perfectly alright. 3)Backgrounds for the T68i DO work for this phone, so you can use any wap site with these backgrounds. ... 4)I simply had no problems with wap on my phone! 5) The games arnt great. There are two, kinang being the best, a challenging puzzle game. Still i reckon its better than any of the nokia games! There is one problem i did encounter: The phone does not come supplied with a case. I solved this by cutting a hole in a 3310 case for the joysick and using that. Perfect!! 6) This is true. The joystick is a great bit of design, incredibly easy to manoeuver, and to control. The phone has a calander in it which i find increibly useful. The image-in cover is nothing that revolutionary, just a clear back cover you can put photos or pics in. It is still quite fun for personalising the phone. This phone is very easy to find your way around, esp with the help of the joystick. The colour screen is great, esp at such a great price! Talking on the phone is great, clear etc.. The handsfree feature, however does not pick up your voice that well though. Polyphonic tones are great. Download them to the phone from panasonicbox.com. This phone is BRIlLIANT, despite the few down points. It is a perfect size and light. The battery does its job well, and it just feels right. Do not hesitate to buy this gd67. You will definitely be happy with it. AND be an individual and du,p the Nokia. I hope this has been of help!
