seriously flawed
Lots of nice bells and whistles on this phone, looks cool too and all that but its all outweighed by one design flaw:
You can connect to the WAP network on this phone very easily - too easily - either by pressing just ONE button - or by hitting the joystick. This means that every time you put it in your pocket without remembering to lock the keypad - easily done - its VERY likely to dial the network AND to stay connected until you discover it, perhaps hours later - a bit more serious than with most phones, which, if they dial a number accidentally will only end up getting you billed for the time it takes the person on the other end to hang up.
Also, pay no attention to the extravagant claims made for the battery life - I find I have to recharge every day or two, just like my previous phone, and that was the main reason I changed models. Very disappointing.

Really good phone
I used to own a T68i, which was the worst phone I ever owned, but thought I would give the T610 a try as a few people have said that Sony/Erricsson have got their act together. They were right.

Good Points:

Bluetooth: I have a bluetooth headset, and love the fact it is wire free, and you can leave the phone in your coat, in another room and still be on a call. Wire free transfer of pictures, sounds etc with PC (provided you have a bluetooth dongle or similiar on the PC).

Screen: Huge, with 65,000 colours - really clear.

Themes: You can completely change the look of your phone by downloading themes from the Sony wapsite.

Polyphonic Ringtones: 32 channel ringtones which mean better sound.

Camera: Only 2 button presses from the main menu takes a picture, then it is really easy to add sound, text etc and send via MMS.

Speed: This phone is 100x quicker than the T68i in terms of general navigation round the menus, writing text messages etc. Whilst the text message input is not quite as quick as a Nokia, I am of an age where this does not affect me as I cant press the buttons that quick!!

Case: The phone has a metal case, which feels great. The buttons are also laid out with space inbetween, which means it is easy to text etc.

Bad Points:

Battery Life: Definately not the 300 hours advertised for standby.

Reception: Not quite as good as my Nokia 7210, but better than the T68i/Nokia 8210.

Ringing Volume: Even on its loudest setting, certain ringtones cannot be heard that well in noisy places (unlike a Nokia on Loud setting, which is deafening). However, you can compose ringtones where the instruments are really loud, or use the Old Phone Ringtone which is load.

No Radio:

Games: Supplied with one game, but you can download more at the Sony wapsite.

This is a really nice phone, which looks the business, is easy to use. It is different to use than a Nokia, which some people may not like, but once you get used to it, the menus work great.

This phone rocks!
I have purchased this phone mostly because it has Bluetooth, and I was willing to use it as a BT modem for my notebook and my Pocket PC.

I have to say that I’m surprised with this phone. It is pretty complete, having the photo camera, polyphonic rings, and support for high-speed GPRS connection and so on, as well as a wonderful display, capable of showing 16 bits of color per pixel.

Configuring this phone as Bluetooth modem was a breeze. Just few mouse clicks on my notebook and pen taps on my Pocket PC and I was using internet through this device. The connection speed recognized by Windows XP on my notebook is 115.2 Kbps, and the signal is very strong.

After a quick look at the Vodafone web site, I was capable of creating the data accounts needed for the connection and I haven’t any problem.

The battery is pretty good also. If I take it completely charged on the morning, at 8:00, use it connected to the internet via Bluetooth for something like 50 minutes plus 30 minutes of phone calls during the day and more 50 minutes of internet connection at the end of the day, I arrive with the battery at 87% of charge.

The price is very affordable, being clearly the best phone on its price tag.

The design of the phone is very pleasant (all my friends like it), and it is very lightweight.
