GX10i "The Rubiks Cube Phone"
The GX10I is just like a "Rubik’s cube” takes hours of convoluted fiddling to achieve a simple task! Having had many mobiles phones from 80s to the latest MMS GPRS types. This phone is the without doubt the least user friendly. Normally through "playing" and intuition, I can normally perform most functions (even advanced ones), but not with this one! RTFM I hear you say! Forget it that is even (if possible) worst than the phone. Normal functions such as MMS are written in such a disjointed way as to be virtually impossible to follow. So my advice, buy something else! 1 star is too high a rating, but the review doesnt allow you to put a Zero!

An all round star!
Here we have a cool design which is top class. The digital camera is good to,without zoom its quality is superb and captures every bit of detail but when you use the zoom you get a kind of Blurr but still good quality. If you want to save them then you can store lots of photos you have taken, send them to a friend or simply save it as a background. The ringtones are good with the much hyped POLYPHONIC ringtones which are superb. If your after games then this phone can support downloads like 2004 games such as XIII(13)a platformer with great gameplay. If you buy this phone you have made a valued choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just doesnt do it!
I recently got this phone as an upgrade from the Nokia 3510i, with my contract, and to be honest im a little bit dissapointed. Im not saying that the phone is awful, far from it, it has many excellent features, for example the camera is excellent quality for a mobile phone at 100,000 mega pixels, and the 16 chord polyphonic ringtones are a class act.
However i have found that the battery life on this phone is terrible, i charged it for around 24hrs after first getting the phone, and then was more than a little shocked when i found that it only lasted around 12hrs!!! i was not impressed.
Another problem is that this phone seems to recieve an awful signal where ever you go, i initially found myself slating vodaphone for this, but soon found that everybody else had a great signal with Vodaphone, and it is just us GX 10i users who suffer from bad signal...why??
The final insult i found was that i have found myself chatting on the phone to people and the phone just crashes, i mean what is that all about? the phone still displays what ever you were last looking at, but the phone does not respond, and then gradually the image burnt onto the screen fades away. The only way to rectify this i have discovered is to remove and then replace the batrery, which is not something i really want or indeed have the time to do on a regular basis. Also although it has yet to happen on mine (it is only a week old) people i know with this phone have found that the pixels blow regularly which leaves a blotchy display...not good!
So to sum up, i would have to say that the Sharp GX 10i could have been one of the best phones on the market, it has all the mod cons that you could wish to find (except bluetooth mysteriously), and feels very sturdy, (if a little bulky to look at!)but i just feel that the bad points outweigh the good, and to be honest im looking forward to my contract being up so i can get a new phone!!!
