Good Sense Ideas |
|
The makority of the ideas in this book come from the authors own experiences, which mean that they are tried and tested. I cant give it 5 stars as I cant do all the training techniques (lack of training partner). I have learnt positive thinking and relaxation techniques, and yes I am faster. Worth the money.

This book could save your life! |

Everyone remembers Bruce Lee as one of the fastest and best Martial artists EVER and many try to follow in his footsteps, many fail. Think of this book as a textbook to follow along the long road to speeed. It will provide you with EVERYTHING you need for the training besides a posotive atitude and the equipment. Within a few weeks you will noticibally faster, and when it comes to actuall combat, be it on the street or in the Dojo you Will be ready!

Pictorial, yes. Informative? Perhaps... |
Having thrown myself head first into the world of many-style martial arts, I purchased Vol 1 & 2 of Bruce Lees Fighting Methods ...Volume 2 is certainly much more informative than the first. Filled with clear photographs of Bruce Lee stretching, exercising and generally keeping fit - the book is a winner for illustrations, credit to the photographer(s)! (The quality "dodgy 80s guy on corner in flares" photographs rock, trust me). Its a shame that the writers didnt go into any more depth regarding *why* the muscles stretch, and why they are used / will be used so much in training. Obvious? I hear you say. Perhaps not... Some of the moves are well-near impossible (for the untrained and unfit) although the book does go into good detail about planning exercise / stretch routines, and provided me with some interesting tricks ive never seen before! Basically, if you want literally "Basic Training" then please, go and buy this book. Youd be hard pushed to find anything with better illustrations than this. But if youre looking for a real biological know-how of the workings of muscle, look elsewhere. Was this review helpful? I hope so!!
