One of The Best Martial Arts Books Around |
This book is the best of the best. Everything is well guided and shown cleary. Thought, effort, and time has gone into this book unlike most of the other martail art books around which just use big names like Bruce Lee to raise profits. This is truly a book worth buying as it is written by some one who cares and respects the art rather than some one just trying to make a good profit. The book explains thoroughly through differnt kung fu forms from Chen Style Tai Chi to Tanglangquan (praying mantis kung fu) It explains how to get the most out of your traing, how to improve or biuld up you skills and even the use of weapons. This book is the mother of all books and covers almost every thing from stretching, aims and objectives, tactics and strategies to the more important spiritual enlightenment. A must buy.

Brilliant introduction and explanation of Shaolin Kung Fu |
|
This is an excellent books for people who practice Shaolin martial arts and those interested in learning about it. The book has a good explanation of different Shaolin forms and styles which is explained brilliantly by the author, Wong Kiew Kit. The book has step by step guide to learning Kung Fu including stating objectives, learning combat application etc. The book also has an overview of weapons and Tai Chi. I recommend that people buying this book who want to learn should go to lessons also as it is difficult to learn from the book

Inspiring and Fantastic! |
|
This book is a detailed insight to the history and art of shaolin. Even newcomers to the martial arts will be inspired by the many wounderful stories and legends about the shaolin temple, also the many training methods that the shoalin practioners still use today. In this book it gives many detailed pictures of kung fu defence methods including the five animal set made up of the snake, crane, leopard, Tiger and the dragon. Each set is fully described as a set and how to apply each movement in self-defence. This book is easy to understand so appeals to both martial arts practioners and people who would just like to know more about chinese kung fu, this is a excellent book a MUST for people intrested in martial arts.
