READ THIS BEFORE YOU PLAN YOUR NEXT CRUISE!
The 2001 edition of Sterns Guide to the Cruise Vacation is over 600 pages of in-depth information on all the major cruise ships. This edition has been expanded to cover riverboats and barges. It also lists alphabetically, worldwide major ports of call with details on shopping, attractions and how to make the most of an eight hour stay in port.

This is the guide to use if you have never cruised before. It starts with four case studies and covers all aspects of cruising from choosing air travel to medical facilities on each ship. It has impressive photos of ships decks, interior of ships and extensive shots of cabins. There are examples of mouth watering menus and daily activity programs to convince the novice cruiser that cruising is not boring and definitely for all age groups. There is even a chapter on Cruising for Singles! Everything you have always wanted to know about cruising but did not know who to ask is in this guide.

For the experienced/seasoned cruiser, this guide gives a good comparison of different cruise companies, their ships, ratings and their amenities. There is also up to date news of new ships coming on the market to keep tabs on the increasing growth of the cruise industry. This guide is arranged in 14 chapters and is a must have reference book for every cruiser to dip into at leisure. I have a copy by my bedside and I never get bored with looking at the menus or the photos even when I am too tired to read the text. Heres to gastronomic sweet dreams of the high seas!

Great Information and Great Fun Too!
This is the first book by Frank Scoblete I read (the second is his Captains Craps Revolution which I am also reviewing). The book introduces you to the Captain a man who has created several very unique methods of playing craps. The book is really very informative and has much to offer. Craps players should learn the 5-Count because this will definitely save you a lot of money when you play. You can read this book without needing to read Scobletes second book but the two of them make a great one-two punch against craps. I think this Captain must be a genius.

I finally won!
I have been a steady loser at craps for more years than I care to remember. This book finally gave me a system to cut my losses and position myself to take full advantage of the few good rolls that might happen in a given evening. I really recommend this book to anyone who has been experiencing those eternal downswings. The 5-count is a great tool and at last I am beginning to win back some of the money Ive lost.
