Thanks for this wonderful book

I bought this book as initial guide for helping me in adapting my own car to my desired standards (a Saab 900, 1995). The interior of my car was black and ugly, and I decided to change it to light beige. I bought the leather seats cover, sorry but I am a beginner, but decided to make the carpet, headliner and door trim panels. I found in that book not just a help, but even more, a vital reference for what now it is my hobbie. Thank you Mr. Henson; your explanations are clear, simple, intelligent and you made that, the most important, that I trusted in my own ability for restoring parts that before I was not even dreaming I could do it... And I am enjoying it. Thanks also to heynes which their manuals are simply the best.

Excellent value for the price

This is a lovely book for the price. 384 pages in a square format, each page shows a watch in colour with a short caption. I have read reviews of this book elsewhere saying that there is very little technical information, very true but I think the book is aimed at those of us who want an introduction to collecting wristwatches. I got a copy because Im interested in product design and as a publication designer I thought the book was nicely produced. Having looked through the book I am intrigued as to why nearly all of these watches are lacking in any kind of elegance. Even the expensive well known makes use dreadful typography for the numbers, have chunky looking minute and hour hands, thick cases and generally clutter the dials with unnecessary markings. I do think there are good looking watches though, page ninety-two shows a simple, elegant Patek Phillipe from the fifties and page sixty-six has a Vacheron Costantin. Ill continue to wear my neat Rotary GS 00898/03. Amazon has over six hundred books listed under Clocks and Watches, this inexpensive little book is a good start to your timepiece library.

Well worth the money

A great glossy book for the watch enthusiast. What it lacks in techincal and textual content it more than makes up for with beautiful pictures and a wide and varied range of watches. This book seems to be a personal insight into watch collecting and as such features some very interesting and unusual watches not ususally found in other books. Certiainly well worth its bargain price.
