Excellent read for an excellent city.

Finally, Melbourne is given the coverage it deserves in this timely guidebook from the brilliant Rough Guide series. Small and compact, but packed with useful and interesting information, the author does a convincing and credible job of conveying what its like to visit Melbourne and the surrounding regions. Tellingly, its main competitor Lonely Planet pales in comparison.
