Excellent, Rapid Knowledge Transfer

This is the first time Ive put a review in for a book, but this book was excellent and exactly what I needed. I am a competent developer in another tool and this is assumed by this book. It is the most quickest, dirtiest, fastrack to getting to grips with Visual Studio and ASP.NET I could think of. No time has been wasted, the author simply dives into many of the features of ASP.NET (in both VB.NET & C#) with great examples and exercises for you to follow. If youve programmed before and want to quickly get to grips with ASP.NET. This is your book.

Great all-rounder!

Previously, I had done some work in ASP, PHP, and a whole other jumble of languages, and then thought Id look into ASP.NET. The day I got this book, I could not put it down (apart from typing the example code)! The tone is very relaxed and easy to read. The examples are very clear and understandable. Also, examples are in both C# and VB.NET next to each other, and explaining the benefits and disadvantages of each. Also, the book covers two major aspects for me, ASP.NET, and also how to effectively use Visual Studio.NET which effectively combines two books into one, and applies each to the other. In conclusion, this is a very well written book that covers 2 topics in VB.NET and C#, and in great detail. A must-get for anyone into ASP.NET and Visual Studio.NET.
