Fashion Doll, perhaps not. |
|
As someone who has experience of fashion dolls and creating them I found this book to be poor. The information is flimsey and at times boring!. The photography is amatureish and pages are wasted with duplicate images. The book concentrates on making over only one doll into a showgirl effect doll but I think it would have been better value if it contained more than one makeover. The last chapter does show examples of finished dolls and many look like drag queens. This is not a book for a serious makeover job. I am putting mine in the bin

clear, easy instructions, ideal for 1st time ooak |

if you`d like to try restyling fashion dolls, but arent sure where to start, this book is for you!clearly detailed step by step guidance with photos at each step, show how to restore and restyle hair, enhance face make-up,and create a "showgirl" costume for a barbie size doll.lots of clear pictures,no expensive paraphenalia,no pattern making!! there is a chapter about co-ordinating colours for effect, and author Sabrina Guidice even shows how to make a box for your finished creation. the only down side is that the showgirl is the only costume made, but the author gives you the confidence to adapt and turn her ideas into unique styles of your own, with lots of pictures of the authors own ooak dolls for inspiration.

Great book for first time builders |

I am getting ready to build a Cobra replica and I found this book very useful. Although this will be my first kit car, I have restored about a half dozen cars from jeeps to mustangs to impalas. Really good advice for beginners
