A very good book explaining the tricks of the car business ! |
|
If you wish to save yourself some serious money than this book is a goldmine of information on how the car trade employs it tricks to ensnare its victims. Included are the tricks of the car dealers (excellent), manufacturers and auctions (excellent) all of which could end up with you paying hundreds if not thousands of pounds if youre not careful. My confidence in the trade has definitely been knocked and consequently ended with me saving some of my friends hundreds of pounds through the advice I gained from this book. The only thing that stopped it gaining five stars was that it could have included more on what to look out for when checking cars privately e.g. check shock absorbers, the radiator (see if it is leaking), break lights work all of which cost you money. On the other hand I learnt something about checking the exhaust for engine performance which was new to me. Overall a very good book.

Poor! |
I was hoping that this would give me the info needed to wire a simple extension on my house but alas . . .Shop around for something better.

Great ideas and information. |

I brought this just before re-wiring my house. Im glad I did! I was just going to re-new the electrics and instal a few phone lines. It recommends Infra-red, data lines, intercomms, X 10, etc, etc. Much I never knew existed! Plenty of web addresses to explorer and ideas.
