Twenty-two years as a heavy smoker; about half that on forty-fifty roll-ups a day. Now I dont smoke, and havent for over four months. This book is AMAZING, its method so easy (just as it claims). Im the last person to run for self-help books - youll never find me reading tomes about women who love too much or men who ought to stay in their rooms - but this was recommended to me and I am so, so glad I took the advice. Oh, and girls: I havent put on weight! One tip: read the book in one hit if you can; I did that, and I think that helps with its cumulative method. Its a very short book and you can smoke while you read, so you shouldnt find too much difficulty in doing it like that. Id wish you luck, but you wont need it.

It is gorgeously satisfying to know that this book is the most successful and effective method available ANYWHERE in the world. And rewardingly stopping smoking happens to be very enjoyable and easy. This is not my opinion by the way, Allen Carr himself will explain this to you succinctly how this fact happens to be true. You will not need ANY will-power, substitues or go through a period of misery or suffer any bad withdrawl pangs whatsoever once you have quit. This book is stunningly effective, well written and the method is simply simplicty itself. Stopping smoking with Allen Carrs EasyWay method is ridiculously easy. But hey, listen, dont take my word for it ladies, read the book, be as sceptical as you jolly well like. Scepticism is a requirement of the method. You dont even have to think about stubbing out your very last cigarette until you have read the book and are utterly convinced that it will be easy and enjoyable. What more can any of us ask for?

Good book... it works... but one flaw

This book is well written, easy to read and relevant to a British audience. More than that, it works. Ive lost a stone in 6 weeks and feel better for it! The diet is divided into two stages: weight loss and maintenance. The weight loss phase is by no means NO carb... bread is allowed! However the author doesnt really devote a lot of time to explaining how readers can transition to the maintenance phase successfully. As a result, some people may be scared to start re-introducing carbs into their diets. Maybe hell bring out Part II to deal with this. All in all, worth buying.
