Superb performance and price

What a printer! In black mode, its 16ppm - really! In colour, its about 1/3 of this speed, say 5 ppm - which isnt bad. But the price is excellent considering the 2400X600 dpi resolution you get. Photographs print out very clearly with full vibrant colours and a subtle glossy finish, even on plain paper. When I got this printer, it had just been released for general sale, and I didnt get a driver CD. However, the website had all that I needed and more, so support was not a problem. Set up was painless and the default settings for colour printing work perfectly, especially for photos and graphic art. The driver allows N-up printing, which worked an absolute treat for doing the kids birthday invites (4-up on A4). The only problem I have encountered so far is that the black toner tends to run out much faster than the others, and it costs £65 to replace! Oh well, you cant have everything, I suppose. If youre looking for something that is better value than the HP equivalent, then choose this or the latest desktop Epson colour laser printer.
